Packing boxes with your belongings may seem like a pretty simple task, but did you know that there is a right and wrong way to go about it? With these tips, you will use more box space, protect all items, and ensure that no valuables are damaged during transit.

  • 1. Use New Boxes- It is highly recommended that you use new boxes when packing your belongings and valuables. If you want to save some money, and don’t want to spend on boxes, test the strength and durability of the boxes you have opted to use beforehand.

  • 2. Use Packing Tape- Once you have selected the most durable and strong boxes, you need to proceed do reinforcing the bottom of each box with packing tape. This step is highly important if the box you are using was already used prior. With packing tape, you guarantee no items will fall through.

  • 3. Give the boxes support- Fill the empty spaces of a box with clothing, dishtowels, or other cloths for support. During transit, boxes can shift and move, but with support, your valuables are safe.

  • 4. Don’t overdo it- Don’t over pack your boxes. Heavy boxes are hard to move back and forward and there are more susceptible to break apart.

  • 5. We insist, don’t overdo it- Never pack a box that can’t close at the top; that simply means it is too full.

  • 6. Opt To Always Use Boxes- You can attempt to use garbage bafs instead of boxes, but we can assure you that it will only become more stressful for you when bags start to rip.

  • 7. Your Clothing- Transport your clothing in the hangers and dresser drwares so you won’t have to worry about hanging them or folding once you get to the new place.
